Important Note:

1. Before using it, rub the sticky side with your fingers to reduce some stickiness. Additionally, don’t stick the masking tape too tightly on the model. It is sufficient to just stick the edges tightly a little bit. Thin masking tapes are prone to automatically adhere to the painted surface.
2. When peeling off the masking tape, pay special attention. Don’t do it too quickly. Follow the principle of “light – handed and slow – speed” and peel it off slowly and gently. Especially when encountering edges and corners, peel it off from the inside out. Avoid peeling it off starting from the edges and corners directly, as this will peel off the painted surface.

(I) Before use
Friction reduction
Principle: By rubbing the sticky surface of the masking tape with your fingers, its stickiness can be reduced. This is because friction may make the sticky material on the adhesive surface more evenly distributed, or slightly reduce the stickiness of the surface.
Purpose: To prevent the masking tape from being too sticky and causing unnecessary damage to the model surface during use, such as tearing off the existing paint on the model when it is torn off.
Proper pasting
Operation method: When pasting the masking tape on the model, do not stick it too tightly, just make sure that the edges fit tightly.
Reason: The thin masking tape itself has strong stickiness. If it is pasted too tightly, it is easy to automatically stick to the paint surface. Proper pasting can reduce the risk of damage to the paint surface while ensuring the masking effect.
(II) When tearing off
Move gently and slowly
Operation method: When tearing off the masking tape, follow the principle of “light action and slow speed” and tear it off slowly and softly.
Reason: If you move too fast or use too much force, the adhesion between the masking tape and the paint surface may be too strong, so the paint surface will be torn off when it is torn off, affecting the appearance of the model.
Special treatment of corners
Operation method: When encountering corners, tear from the inside to the outside, and never tear directly from the corners.
Reason: The paint surface at the corners of the model is relatively thin and fragile. Tearing from the corners can gradually reduce the contact area between the masking tape and the paint surface, reducing the risk of tearing off the paint surface.
